Robert D. Graham II M.D. 
Dr. Robert Graham is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He is fellowship trained in sports medicine, specializing in shoulder replacement surgery, all arthroscopic techniques for repair of rotator cuff tears, labral tears, and instability of the shoulder, and knee replacement surgery. He has further training and certification in autologous chondrocyte implantation for cartilage defects of the knee and minimally invasive techniques for total knee replacement. Additional interests include general orthopaedics, hip replacement surgery, and fracture care.
Dr. Graham received his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), attended Duke University School of Medicine, and completed his orthopaedic residency at Duke University as well. He further subspecialized in sports medicine with an additional year of fellowship training at Taos Orthopaedic Institute, where he pursued a special interest in shoulder reconstruction, shoulder replacement and knee replacement surgery. His patients are offered the latest in specialized orthopaedic surgical techniques and procedures, while being actively involved in their care and decision-making process.
Dr. Graham currently serves as an instructor for advanced courses in shoulder arthroscopic surgery and shoulder replacement surgery both locally and nationwide. He is also a member of an international design team for new instrumentation for total knee replacement surgery. He is a reviewer for articles submitted for publication in the Journal of Arthroscopy, and is active in clinical research and product design. While at Duke, Dr. Graham received the chief resident award for outstanding orthopaedic research, and was an anatomy instructor for undergraduates. He also served as an assistant team physician for Duke University varsity basketball and football teams. Initially in private practice in San Marcos, Dr. Graham was team physician for Texas State University and a member of the adjunct faculty for their Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation. Dr. Graham was also recently elected to the Board of Directors at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center.
