Jay Borick, M.D.
Dr. Borick grew up in Southern California and attended UCLA where he received an athletic scholarship in track and field, specializing in the pole vault. In 1993, following a highly successful collegiate athletic career, he remained at UCLA where he was employed as an assistant track and field coach, while he prepared for medical school. In 2000, he earned his Medical Degree from Finch University of Health Sciences/ The Chicago Medical School, and in 2005, completed his Orthopaedic training at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York.
He completed an additional year of fellowship training in Sports Medicine and Reconstructive Knee and Shoulder Surgery at Southern California Center for Sports Medicine in Long Beach, California. While in fellowship, Dr. Borick was actively involved in research of the shoulder joint, with recent acceptance for publication in Arthroscopy: The Journal of Arthroscopic Surgery and Related Surgery. During this time, he also shared the duties as one of the team doctors for the Long Beach Ice Dogs minor league hockey team. In addition, he performed as a physician for the Cal State University Long Beach athletic teams, as well as multiple high school football teams in the Long Beach area.
Dr. Borick is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, as well as a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery
Outside of the office Dr. Borick enjoys spending time with his family, weight training, water skiing, wake boarding, snow skiing, motorcycle riding, and backpacking.
Dr. Borick is available to see patients at the Cedar Park and Round Rock offices.
